Every front door is different. Some people neglect their front door areas and only come and go through a side door. Some folks decorate their front doors for every season. The little old lady who sweeps her front porch off everyday smells of lavender and starlight mints. Our front doors welcome guests, deter solicitors, await news both good and bad and are the gateways to what's inside....the people and their stories.

As we start this journey together, know that I will be highlighting front porches and the people inside the home. I will pick front porches that intrigue me in some way. Most of the front porch stories will be of folks I have never met until I knock and ask if I can take a picture of their front porch...
